TICKFORD, KOSTECKI WELCOME TRADIE RACING TO SUPERCARS GRID

TICKFORD RACING – TRADIE RACING JOINS GRID

Australian-owned workwear and lifestyle brand TRADIE will increase its relationship with Tickford Racing in 2022, signing on as the naming rights partner of the No. 56 Ford Mustang to be driven by team newcomer Jake Kostecki under the TRADIE Racing moniker. Continuing as the team’s workwear provider for a fifth season, the family-owned brand will step up to a major partnership with one of the most successful teams in Australian motorsport, and in support of 22-year old Kostecki’s first season with the organisation.

Founder and CEO of TRADIE, Ben Goodfellow, is thrilled to see his family’s company increase its involvement with Tickford, which sees a dream scenario realised more than four years after the two parties first linked up.

“When we first partnered with Tickford in 2018 we talked about how we’d love to have fully-branded TRADIE Supercar someday, so to see this become reality is a dream come true,” Goodfellow said. “We’ve had a fantastic relationship with the team at Tickford and have had a lot of fun showcasing our brand and products in one of Australia’s biggest sports, and we can’t wait to take it up a notch this year with Jake driving the TRADIE Racing Mustang. TRADIE undies & workwear have covered the team’s rigs at Tickford over the last few years, so to have our own Tickford rig is going to be very special.”

TRADIE partnered with Tickford Racing in 2018 as the team’s official workwear provider, beginning a partnership that has steadily grown in recent years. Tickford Racing CEO and Team Principal Tim Edwards is equally enthusiastic about bringing the true Aussie brand to the forefront of Australian motorsport.

“We’ve had a tremendous relationship with TRADIE on and off the track since 2018, and are absolutely delighted to sign them up as the naming rights partner on Jake Kostecki’s Mustang for 2022,” Edwards said. “TRADIE is a full-blown Aussie brand and a very fun group to work with, and Jake is a great fit to represent TRADIE, so we’re very excited to pair them up for an exciting season ahead. We’re looking forward to seeing Jake make his race debut for us in just a few weeks, and we can’t wait to have some fun both on and off the track with the gurus at TRADIE.”

Kostecki joins Tickford for what will be his second full season in the Supercars Championship, and is thrilled to welcome the Aussie brand aboard his No. 56 Ford Mustang.

“I’m stoked to have TRADIE on board my Mustang this year, to represent one of the most fun brands in the sport is going to be awesome,” Jake said. “They’re unapologetically Australian and love to have some fun, I like to think I fit that description and the team at Tickford definitely does, so I think we’ll be in for a blast of a year on and off the track. I really can’t wait to show off the look of the car and get my first laps in the TRADIE Mustang, it’s a really exciting time. I can’t thank the team at TRADIE enough for their support, and I’m looking forward to giving it a red hot crack once we get out there!”

Jake Kostecki will turn his first laps in the No. 56 TRADIE Ford Mustang at Tickford Racing’s pre-season test day on Tuesday, February 22nd at Winton Motor Raceway, ahead of the season-opening Sydney SuperNight, which takes place March 4-6 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
